In May 2026 we are running Instrument Beginner's Course again!

We aim to support new wind, brass and percussion players to build confidence in playing and reading music.

The course consists of 10 x 30-min interactive sessions, led by a qualified and experienced music leader and teacher.

The course takes place each week, on Monday evenings.

There is the option to join online via Zoom, or in person at a mini rehearsal at St Peter's Church in Bramley.

During the lessons you'll get support to start to learn to read music and gradually become a better player. After the course, there is the option to continue your progress by joining Prima, our welcome band.

You'll be learning in a session with other new players. At first the music will be very simple, but gradually you will start to play some harder tunes. The teacher will be there to guide and help you throughout the sessions.

All the music and resources you need will be provided.

You can also borrow an instrument to learn with, depending on availability.

Time: 6.30 – 7.00pm

Cost: £45 for all 10 sessions
